United Airlines to Launch New Shuttle from Newark to Washington, D.C.

United Airlines announced plans to introduce a new hourly shuttle service linking the New York metropolitan area with Washingto, D.C.

The shuttle will operate between Newark Liberty International and Reagan National airports on a “near-hourly” basis starting at 6 a.m. local time and ending at 10 p.m.

The Chicago-based airline will operate the new shuttle using the Bombardier CRJ-550 aircraft.  The two-class airliner  and seats ten in the first-class cabin, 30 in United’s economy plus lite cabin, and 20 in coach.

In addition to the new shuttle service, United is also adding five flights between New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Washington Dulles Airport, a major hub for the carrier.

All told, United will operate 32 daily flights between the New York metro area and the nation’s capital.
