United Airlines Adds Support for Scheduling Covid Tests to Smartphone App

United Airlines added new capabilities to its Travel-Ready Center component in its smartphone app.  The new functionality United passengers to schedule a coronavirus test directly through the carrier’s app prior to traveling to a destination that requires a test..

The Travel-Ready Center was launched in January of this year. It allows passengers to upload their results directly through the app, and will then tell them whether or not they meet the standards for flying to their particular destination. Once a test is validated, passengers will receive their mobile boarding pass.

The Travel-Ready Center also lets travellers to choose from over 200 Covid testing sites across the country, including locations inside airports in Chicago, Houston, Newark, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. United plans to expand availability to more locations in the coming weeks, as well as add access to international sites for passengers arriving in the United States.
