WestJet Reaches 5-Year Agreement with Flight Attendant Union

WestJet announced that the union representing its flight attendants had ratified a new five-year agreement.with the airline.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees, the union that represents its cabin crew members, had been in negotiations since April 2019.

WestJet said that the agreement went into effect retroactively as of March 1, 2021, and will continue through December 31 of 2025.

The agreement will apply to over 3,100 crew members of the airline, although it will not apply to the airline’s subsidiaries, including Encore and Swoop.
