Southwest to Start Serving Myrtle Beach, Add New Routes from Austin

Southwest Airlines announced it will add a third airport to its South Carolina destinations,  while adding. six new routes from Austin, Texas.

From Myrtle Beach, Southwest will offer flights to Baltimore, Chicago Midway, and Nashville beginning May 23, as well as to Dallas Love Field and Pittsburgh on May 29. On June 6, the carrier will begin service from Myrtle Beach to Atlanta, Columbus, and Indianapolis.

On May 9, the airline will begin service between Austin and Sacramento, while on June 6, Southwest will launch flights from Austin to Burbank, Miami, Minneapolis, Orange County, and Salt Lake City.

In addition, starting May 9, Southwest plans to begin flights between Denver and Richmond, Las Vegas and Palm Springs, and Miami and St. Louis. These will be followed by new service between Nashville and Islip, Long Island and between and Chicago Midway and Portland, Maine, both on June 6.
