InterContinental Hotels Group announced plans to open a co-located Hotel Indigo and Staybridge Suites in Nottingham’s Island Quarter.

The 17-story property will have 233 guestrooms and suites between the two hotels. Hotel Indigo will have 155 of them, while Staybridge Suites will have 68. The building is the first of its size in the city in almost 20 years.

The two hotels are located in the Island Quarter of Nottingham, England, an up-and-coming area currently in the midst of a multi-million-pound development project to bring more growth to the city.

With links to the legend of Robin Hood, Nottingham is a city in the East Midlands region of England, 128 miles (206 kilometers) north of London.

The Hotel Indigo will “take design cues from the local area,” the company said. In addition, the hotel’s bar and restaurant will offer locally-sourced ingredients in its dishes.

The Staybridge Suites, IHG’s extended-stay option, will offer guests a full kitchen, a 24-hour gym, a storage locker to store personal items between stays, and a shared outdoor space featuring a fire pit. The outdoor space will not be available to guests staying at the Hotel Indigo.
