Alaska to Launch New Transcon Service Linking San Diego to New York, Newark, and Boston

Alaska Airlines announced it will plans for three new transcon routes come spring as well as new service to Austin.
The Seattle-based carrier will launch daily non-stop service between San Diego and New York City on April 4, 2021, as well as twice daily non-stop service between Los Angles and Austin on March 18.
The Los Angeles-Austin route will increase to thrice-daily operations starting May 20.
Later in the spring, Alaska will introduce new non-stop transcon service from San Diego to both Newark and Boston.
The new transcons are “part of Alaska’s growth to the Northeast [strategy],” the airline said.
