Marriott International announced two programs for telecommuters, Day Pass and Stay Pass, as well as a third program, Play Pass, for those workers who just need a break amidst the pandemic-induced changes in work patterns.

“Working remotely doesn’t necessarily have to mean working from home, where blurred lines between personal and professional lives can create distractions and stress,” said Stephanie Linnartz, who leads consumer strategy at the hotelier.

The Day Pass offering makes a hotel room available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and includes enhanced Wi-Fi as well as access to printing and scanning facilities.  Members of the chain’s guest-loyalty program, Bonvoy, will receive a welcome amenity of healthy snacks and discounts in the hotel’s gift shop. In addition, members with higher-level elite status including Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador will have access to the executive lounge, where available.

The Stay Pass offering is similar to Day Pass but includes an overnight stay, breakfast, and evening cocktails.  Check-in and check-out times are the same, which translates to two full days in the room.

Finally, the Play Pass offering, which is limited to luxury and resort properties, includes supervised children’s activities, access to office and study spaces, and experiences curated by local staff for the entire family.
