Delta Extends Lounge Memberships and Travel Certificate Expirations into 2021

Delta Air Lines announced multiple changes regarding the expiration of lounge memberships and travel certificates.

The said it is airline is giving travelers more time to use benefits they have earned amidst the coronavirus pandemic-induced downturn in travel.

“Customers now have even more flexibility for upcoming trips and more time to enjoy benefits when they’re ready to travel again,” said the airline’s vice president of customer engagement, Sandeep Dube.

The Atlanta-based carrier said that it would extend memberships in the Delta Sky Club that were active as of March 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.  It also said it would unused Companion Certificates belonging to holders of the Delta SkyMiles American Express Platinum and Reserve cards through December 31, 2021 and extend Reserve card holders’ Sky Club passes to the same date.

Holders of the Delta American Express SkyMiles Gold card who have earned a $100 flight credit will also see the expiration date extended to the end of next year.
