The Conrad New York Downtown

Hilton Worldwide announced the completion of a refurbishment project that touched all guest rooms and corridors at the Conrad New York Downtown.

The work began in January and involved the replacement of all upholstered furniture as well as in-room lighting fixtures in addition to carpets in the guest-room corridors. The rooms feature elegant light woods with grey carpeting and earth-tone furnishings.

The 463-key all-suite property also installed in-room Rocean One smart water devices.  The Rocean One can filter, carbonate, and flavor water on demand. Aluminum water bottles will be provided upon request.

“From eliminating plastic straws to recycling soap, Conrad New York Downtown is dedicated to creating a sustainable experience for our guests,” said the hotel’s general manager, Marlene Poynder, noting that the addition of the Rocean system further strengthens that commitment.

Located in Battery Park City, he Conrad New York occupies the building that once housed the DoubleTree, but which underwent a gut-renovation before opening as a Conrad in 2012. The glass and brick structure is connected to the neighboring office tower, which is home to Goldman Sachs, by a glass-canopied passage.
