Hilton DoubleTree Reveals Secret Recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies
Hilton Worldwide released what up until now has been the top-secret recipe for the chocolate chip cookies its DoubleTree hotels give guests upon arrival.
The hotelier noted that copycat recipes have floated around the Internet for years but were not authentic.
“A warm chocolate chip cookie can’t solve everything, but it can bring a moment of comfort and happiness,” said Shawn McAteer, who heads up the DoubleTree unit at the hotel chain.
The recipe, which has been published online, calls for butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, lemon juice freshly squeezed, flour, rolled oats, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, walnuts, and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Hilton’s in-house chef says that at-home bakers can freeze the cookie dough and place it in the oven frozen in order to have on-demand DoubleTree chocolate-chip cookies.
