United Airlines to Reduce Domestic Flying by 52%
United Airlines, which previously announced fairly drastic cuts to its flying, announced additional cutbacks.
The airline will now cut 52% of its domestic schedule in the coming months, as opposed to the previously announced 42%.
Last week United said it would continue to operate certain flights it had previously said it would suspend. Calling this “a fluid situation,” the Chicago-based airline said it plans to operate six flights to Frankfurt, London, São Paulo, Sydney, Tel Aviv, and Tokyo, which will represent the entirety of the airline’s coverage in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
United said that, despite the cuts, it will stand by its earlier statement and not discontinue service to any city it currently serves
