T-Mobile will introduce a $15 per month smartphone plan on Wednesday, the company said.

The new plan, dubbed Connect, includes 2 GB of high-speed data, including 5G where available, as well as unlimited calling and texts. The plan is roughly half the cost of the company’s least expensive current plan. In addition, a $25 per month version of the plan offers the same features with 5 GB of high-speed data.

Originally slated to launch if and when T-Mobile concludes its merger with Sprint, the company said it “couldn’t wait for the merger” to be finalized to debut the plan.

“Right now, having a reliable, low-cost connection is absolutely crucial,” said T-Mobile CEO John Legere in announcing the plan.

The self-proclaimed “Uncarrier” first announced plans for a $15 plan last November, at which time it also announced Project 10 Million, a plan to offer ten million hotspots to students with up to 100 GB of free high-speed data per year.
