United Airlines Suspends China, Hong Kong Flights Through End of April

United Airlines said Wednesday it will extend the suspension of its flights to and from China.

The suspension includes non-stop flights from the States to Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.  United originally suspended flights to mainland China at the end of January and to Hong Kong on February 4.

The suspension will now to continue through April 24, about a month longer than originally planned.

“We will continue to monitor the situation in China and evaluate our schedule as we remain in close contact with the CDC and other public health experts around the globe,” the airline said in a statement.

The airline is offering customers the option of cancelling ore rebooking.
