Hyatt Reflags Two IHG Properties in Manchester

Hyatt Hotels announced the opening on Monday of the Hyatt Regency Manchester and the Hyatt House Manchester, the latter being the brand’s entry into the United Kingdom.

The hotelier opened the 212-key Hyatt Regency Manchester Oxford Road and the 116-key Hyatt House Manchester/Oxford Road in the Lume, a building that also houses two restaurants, reflagging two InterContinental Hotels Group properties currently operating in the building.

Both the Crowne Plaza Manchester Oxford Road and the Staybridge Suites Manchester – Oxford Road closed earlier this month to prepare for the conversion to Hyatt properties.

The Hyatt Regency Manchester features the 120-seat Laureate Restaurant, the Graduate Bar, a Hyatt Club lounge, and a 24-hour fitness center.   It has seven meeting spaces that can accommodate over 200 attendees.  The Hyatt House Manchester has an Omelet Bar for breakfast and the always-open 24/7 H Market.

The Lume is ideally located in the Oxford Road area and is within walking distance of the city center and the Manchester Oxford Road railway station.
