Hilton to Open Motto by Hilton Hotels in Atlanta, Washington, D.C.

Hilton announced the groundbreaking for a Motto by Hilton hotel in Atlanta and plans to open a Motto by Hilton hotel in Washington, D.C. early next year.

The 146-key Atlanta property will be in the Old Fourth Ward of the city as part of the Waldo’s mixed-use development and will open in 2021.

In addition to the Atlanta property, Hilton said that the Motto by Hilton Washington D.C. City Center, a 245-room property that will have a rooftop bar with views of the Washington Monument, will open early next year.

Hilton introduced the Motto by Hilton brand in October 2018.

Motto by Hilton hotels emphasize sleep and provide a premium mattress, a sleep kit with eye masks, essential oils, and vitamin bars, a white-noise app, and blackout window shades. Hotels are being built using sound-absorbing materials to further ensure a restful night’s sleep.

Guests will be able to control lighting, wall shades, television, and temperature from the Hilton Honors app.

In addition, the rooms will be small, averaging 163 square feet (14 square meters), and include a variety of space-saving features including wall-beds, loft beds, and furniture that can be stowed when not in use.

The hotelier plans to open the very first Motto by Hilton hotel in Marylebone, London, early next year.  That will be followed by ones in Boston, Brooklyn, Dublin, Lima, New York City, Savannah, and Washington, D.C.

Guests will be able to split payments at the time of booking and can request connecting rooms in advance.
