Hilton announced the reflagging of The London NYC as the Conrad New York Midtown.

The property is the brand’s second in New York City and is located on West 54th Street.

The 54-floor, 562-key all-suite hotel underwent a complete renovation in its transformation to a Conrad. The result, the hotelier said, is that guestrooms more resemble metropolitan pied-a-terres with a “residential” feel as opposed to a typical New York City hotel room.  Hilton had managed The London NYC since 2017.

The Conrad invites guests “to experience what it would feel like to live in Manhattan,” it said.

The earth-tone décor in the guest rooms is paired with herringbone wood floors, hand-tufted wool rugs, and furniture designed specifically for the property.  Room size ranges from 500-square-foot (46.5-square-meter) one bedroom suites to a 3,000-square-foot (279-square-meter) two-story penthouse suite, dubbed the Penthouse on 54.  That suite includes a private 30-minute performance by a musician, with a choice ranging from a harpist playing a lullaby at night to a cellist at a small dinner party in the suite.

Dining options for guests include Dabble, which offers shareable small plates and light fare. Including Chef Sani Hebaj’s signature Long Island Duck with plum compote. Plume, a private dining room, can seat 75, and the hotel also offers six other meeting rooms and event spaces
