Delta to Open New LaGuardia Terminal This Fall
Delta Air Lines said it would open the first of four concourses in its new terminal at LaGuardia Airport in New York City this fall.
The new terminal, which will replace Terminals C and D at the airport, will feature 37 gates, a centralized check-in area and security checkpoint, and a new Sky Club with an outdoor Sky Deck.
The first concourse will span 105,000 square feet (9,755 square meters) and offer travelers floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Citi Field and Flushing Bay. The new terminal will also feature a variety of restaurants and shops that highlight New York cuisine including Rossi Pizza and a steakhouse, Flatiron Tavern.
Last December, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates LaGuardia, opened the brand new Eastern Concourse in Terminal B, the new Central Terminal building, to much fanfare. The strikingly modern structure is currently home to select flights operated by Air Canada, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airline. It features 13 shops and restaurants including an FAO Schwarz, as well as a United Club and Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge.
