IMG_1349Hilton announced plans on Monday for its first U.S. Motto by Hilton hotel.

The new property will be in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Atlanta as part of a mixed-use development project called Waldo’s. Waldo’s will offer a combination of residential space, shops, and restaurants.

Motto by Hilton offers guests what the hotelier calls “micro-guest rooms,” that will average 163 square feet (14 square meters), and include a variety of space-saving features including wall-beds, loft beds, and furniture that can be stowed when not in use. It also offers the Motto Commons, a lobby area with a variety of seating, a bar, coffee, and the reception desk.

The hotels will emphasize sleep providing a premium mattress, a sleep kit with eye masks, essential oils, and vitamin bars, a white-noise app, and blackout window shades. Hotels will be constructed using sound-absorbing materials.

Guests will be able to control lighting, wall shades, television, and temperature from the Hilton Honors app.

Hilton will break ground on the Motto by Hilton Atlanta Old Fourth Ward later this year and the hotel will open its doors to guests in early 2021.
