JetBlue Appoints New Chief Product Officer
JetBlue Airways announced the appointment of Michael Stromer to the position of chief product officer, technology.
Stromer, who joined the airline in 2007, will be responsible for a variety of technology initiatives at JetBlue including leading the efforts in creating mobile and web applications that support sales. He will also assume responsibility for technology that supports airport, flight, in-fight, customer service, and technical operations teams and for the modernization of a variety of customer-facing and crewmember-facing products.
“With our ever-increasing focus on providing JetBlue customers and crewmembers with the best tools and setting the stage to reimagine the future of travel, I have every confidence in Mike’s vision and ability to see us through into that future,” said Eash Sundaram, the airline’s chief digital and technology officer.
Stromer’s most recent position at JetBlue was vice president for tech products, where his responsibilities included the redesign of both the airline’s website and its mobile app.
In addition to his position at JetBlue, Stromer also holds the position of vice chairman of the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, New York.
