Trivago Hotel Pitchman Arrested for DWI in Houston

DSC_0230 (2)The spokesman for discount hotel website Trivago, Timothy Williams, was arrested in Texas for driving while intoxicated.

The 52-year-old actor was found on Wednesday stopped in traffic in a vehicle and passed out with his foot on the brake, according to a Houston police department spokesman. Williams, who is originally from Houston, failed a field sobriety test and agreed to have blood drawn to test blood alcohol concentration. He was freed on a $100 bond.

Founded in 2005 in Düsseldorf, where it maintains its headquarters, Trivago, which is owned by Expedia, was the first hotel search engine in Germany.

Williams is known for his work in multiple movies including “Valkyrie,” “Ninja Assassin,” and “Labyrinth of Lies.”
