JetBlue to Offer Non-Stop Service to London from New York and Boston
JetBlue Airways announced plans to offer non-stop service from both New York City and Boston to London, with service starting in 2021.
The news was announced at an employee event at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
The airline will operate the flights using Airbus A321LR or Long Range aircraft. London will be the airline’s first European destination.
The New York-based airline said it has not yet determined which airport in London it will operate from but it probably won’t be London Heathrow, which is severely slot constrained.
The A321LR aircraft will feature what the airline termed “an all-new international take” on its JetBlue business-class cabin and service.
The airline plans to offer lower fares than those currently offered on the two routes.
“The fares being charged today by airlines on these routes, specifically on the premium end, are enough to make you blush,” said Joanna Geraghty, the airline’s president.
