IMG_0024Hawaiian Airlines and Virgin Australia announced an expansion of the two airlines’ codeshare partnership.

The airlines first entered into a codeshare partnership in 2011.

Under the terms of the expanded agreement, Virgin Australia will add its VA code to Hawaiian’s non-stop flights from Honolulu to Brisbane starting April 17.

Virgin Australia currently places its code on Hawaiian’s flights linking Honolulu and Sydney.

In addition, Hawaiian will be adding its HA code to Virgin Australia-operated flights from Brisbane and Sydney to Cairns, Mackay, Melbourne, and Townsville starting April 3 as well as on a limited number of trans-Tasman services including Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown, and Wellington.
