Westin Hotels & Resorts is vowing to help travelers sleep better by calling awareness to what it calls the “joy of missing out,” a play on FOMO or the fear of missing out, in recognition of World Sleep Day, which takes place March 15.

The hotelier will distribute #JOMO door tags at over a dozen properties that include hotels in Cape Town, Doha, Hamburg, Lima, New York, Mexico City, and Singapore.

Guests using the #JOMO door tag will receive special Sleep Well amenities and those who post the hashtag #WestinJOMO on their Instagram accounts while tagging @Westin will receive 250 Marriott Bonvoy points as well.  The promotion ends March 17.

Marriott Bonvoy is the hotel chain’s new guest loyalty program. It replaces Marriott Rewards, Starwood Preferred Guest, and Ritz-Carlton Rewards.

Several properties offer special programs such as the Westin Hilton Head Island, which has an “Unplugged” package in which a guest’s in-room television is disconnected and the guest can swap his mobile phone for a bicycle rental, kayak tour, or spa time, while the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon, Vail Valley offers Sound Therapy sessions that use Himalayan singing bowls and light meditation.
