Winter Storm to Impact 100 Million People, Bringing Snow, Ice, and Hazardous Travel Conditions

DSC_0038 (1)A major winter storm is heading towards the eastern half of the United States bringing with it heavy rain, snow, and ice.

Washington, D.C. is expected to see up to 6” (15 cm) of the white stuff, while Philadelphia may get as much as 5” (12 cm) in some areas, while only 1” (3 cm) will reach New York City.

The storm is currently bringing snow to parts of the Rockies and High Plains as it moves eastward.

Winter storm warnings and advisories are in effect for Baltimore, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Omaha, and Washington D.C., among other areas.

Expect dangerous travel conditions as well as significant flight delays and cancellations as the storm moves east.
