United Airlines Appoints New Sr. VP of Flight Operations
United Airlines announced the appointment of Bryan Quigley to the position of senior vice president of flight operations.
Quigley, who joined the airline in 1995 and previously served as chief pilot as well as vice president of its San Francisco hub, will oversee the airline’s 12,500 pilots.
“Bryan is an exceptional leader both in and out of the flight deck,” said Greg Hart, the airline’s chief operations officer.
Quigley assumes the position following the retirement of Howard Attarian, who held the position for five years.
Attarian leaves United after 40 years in the aviation industry including a quarter of a century as a pilot at Northwest Airlines.
Replacing Quigley as vice president of the San Francisco Hub will be Matt Miller, who currently serves as the airline’s vice president of international airport operations.
