Aeromexico Reports Jump in Traffic and Capacity for September

IMG_0210Aeromexico announced operational results for September 2018. The Mexico City-based carrier saw a significant increase in traffic and capacity as well as a small increase in its load factor.

The airline’s total passenger traffic for the month was 3.48 billion revenue passenger kilometers, or RPKs, an increase of 7.8% from 3.23 billion RPKs in the same month last year.

On the domestic side of operations, the carrier reported a 9% increase in traffic while, on the international side, it reported a 7.3% increase.

The carrier reported a total capacity of 4.29 billion available seat kilometers, or ASKs, a 7.2% increase from 4.0 billion ASKs in September of last year.

The airline’s total load factor for September increased by 0.4 percentage points, to 81%, from the previous September.

In addition, the airline reported it carried 1.7 million passengers in September, an 8.7% year-over-year increase.
