InterContinental Opens First Avid Hotel

InterContinental Hotels Group announced the opening of its first avid hotels property.

The avid hotel Oklahoma City-Quail Springs is located north of downtown Oklahoma City.

At the time of its initial announcement, the hotelier said that avid will offer “the basics done exceptionally well” at a price per night $10-15 lower than its Holiday Inn Express brand.

The 87-room property offers rooms designed for guests to enjoy a good night’s sleep and the hotelier provides a choice of pillows in addition to room-darkening blackout shades, a room design that reduces noise, and a high-quality mattress. Each room has a dedicated work area, ample storage and a flatscreen television that allows guests to watch content from their own devices.

Avid offers guests a complimentary breakfast as well as a market where guests can purchase other items to eat.
