JetBlue Airways announced plans to offer weekly non-stop service from Boston to Havana starting in November.  It also said it will add additional non-stop flights from Fort Lauderdale to Havana as well.

The New York-based airline was the first commercial carrier to offer service between the United States and the island nation following the recent normalization of diplomatic relations.

The Boston-Havana flights will operate on Saturdays between Boston Logan International Airport and José Martí International Airport, making JetBlue the only carrier with service between New England and Cuba.  The airline will use Airbus A320 aircraft with 42 seats in its Even More Space premium-economy section and 108 seats in coach.

The additional flights from Fort Lauderdale to Havana will operate Sunday through Friday.
