Air Canada launched three new routes linking British Columbia with other Canadian destinations this week.

The Montreal-based carrier added on Thursday non-stop service from Kamloops to Toronto and is inaugurating non-stop seasonal service from Victoria to Montreal and from Nanaimo to Toronto.

Toronto-Kamloops will operate thrice weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while Toronto-Nanaimo will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The new routes “will open up more opportunities for local businesses and our tourism industry,” said Lisa Helps, mayor of Victoria.

The three new routes will be operated by Air Canada Rouge.

Montreal-Victoria will operate thrice weekly as well, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The routes linking Toronto with Kamloops and Nanaimo are the only non-stops between these locations.
