Air Canada said it is adding a variety of new services for families traveling together.

The new offerings include dedicated check-in counters at major hubs, complimentary family seating, gifts for travelers under 11, and early boarding. The airline will also offer priority booking in the event of schedule changes.

“Parents will be able to enjoy peace of mind so they can share in their children’s delight in the magic of flying,” said Benjamin Smith, the airline’s president.

The airline will continue to offer children membership in its Altitude Skyriders program.  Children will receive a flight logbook, a Skyriders luggage tag, badges for cities traveled to, and the opportunity for the junior travelers to earn a variety of goodies by flying.
