DSC_0463Promising “living room” comfort, JetBlue Airways announced Wednesday that it is giving its Airbus A320 aircraft cabins a complete makeover.

The new cabin interior will offer wider seats, a 10.1” seatback in-flight entertainment system display with picture-in-a-picture functionality, over 100 channels of content, streaming entertainment, and an enhanced three-dimensional map as well as new LED mood lighting.

The airline is planning two versions of the new interior: a 2018 variant of the Rockwell Collins Pinnacle coach seat that is currently installed on its A321 fleet and a 2019 version with a wider and more adjustable seat.

Passengers on the refurbished aircraft will have access to complimentary faster in-flight Wi-Fi with gate-to-gate connectivity.

Starting in 2019, the New York-based carrier will add its version of the Rockwell Collins Meridian seat to its A320 aircraft. The seat has a width in excess of 18”; adjustable headrests, a new feature; additional knee room by means of a contoured seatback design; improved seatback stowage options; and a minimum of two power connections at every seat.

The airline said that the new seats will be the widest available on A320 aircraft.
