Apple and Goldman Sachs will launch a new credit card later this year that will be marketed as Apple Pay. The two companies have been working on the plan for several months.

Goldman Sachs will also be financing the purchase of new Apple products.

The news was first reported by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday afternoon.

Apple currently offers a card issued by Barclays but that relationship appears to be in jeopardy.
