Hilton announced the opening of a new Curio Collection property in Reykjavik, Iceland. The Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel is located at the site of a former department store and the new building was designed to fit in with traditional Icelandic design.

The hotel has 50 guestrooms and suites, each with a 49” HD TV and complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as black and white photographs detailing the history of the Thompson family, the original owners of the department store.

Guests can dine at the property’s restaurant and bar, Gott Reykjavik, which is open all day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel also has a spa, which includes an Icelandic bath inspired by the country’s natural hot springs and pools, as well as a fitness center.

In celebration of the hotel’s opening, Hilton is offering members of its Honors loyalty program 5,000 for three night stays through May 31.
