Red Roof to Add Support for Alexa Skills

Red Roof Inns announced that it plans to support Amazon Alexa skills to provide travelers with information about its properties.

Alexa Skills are voice-driven capabilities that can do everything from bringing voice control to a smart home to buying movie tickets.

“We created the Red Roof skill for Amazon Alexa to deliver important, decision-driving information directly to current and future guests,” said Kevin Scholl, director of digital marketing at Red Roof.

The hotelier said its Alexa Skills will address a wide range of questions about Red Roof ranging from “Can I bring my dog?” to “Do you have any deals today?”

“Directly giving consumers information about Red Roof at home is the natural next step in our technological future as an innovative hotel brand,” said Marina MacDonald, the company’s CEO.
