American Airlines to Offer First Class Passengers Option to Pre-Order Fruit-and-Cheese Platter
American Airlines, which was the first U.S. carrier to provide first- and business-class passengers the opportunity to pre-order in-flight meals, announced a new twist to that program.
Those passengers traveling in domestic first-class cabins will be able to pre-order a fruit-and-cheese platter as well. This selection will only be available in the pre-order process.
The fruit-and-cheese platter includes an assortment of fruit and cheese, crackers, salad, and dessert. As with other pre-order selections, it must be ordered at least 24 hours prior to departure.
Earlier this month, Alaska Airlines became the second U.S. carrier to offer passengers the ability to pre-order meals, starting on October 10.
