Fraport Sees Passenger Traffic Increase in August

Fraport AG, the operator of Frankfurt Airport, announced traffic figures for the month of August.

Passenger traffic was approximately 6.3 million passengers for the month, a 5% increase from August 2016.

Frankfurt Airport also reported a 5.4% year-over-year increase in cargo tonnage for August, with 181,102 metric tons of cargo passing through the facility.

In addition, Fraport said the number of aircraft movements for the month increased by 2.7% year-over-year to 42,934 takeoffs and landing.
