IMG_8937 (2)Alaska Airlines announced a new partnership with Singapore Airlines.

Beginning September 27, members of both Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan and Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer frequent flyer programs will be able to earn miles on flights operated by either airline.

Members will be able to redeem miles beginning at a later date.

In addition to the frequent flyer program partnership, the two carriers said they will begin a new codeshare agreement at a later date. The codeshare agreement will allow Singapore Airlines customers to book flights on Alaska that will carry a Singapore flight number and thereby offer a single check-in and baggage checked to the final destination.

The codeshare agreement is subject to government approval.
