A vanity located outside the bathroom, was generously supplied with neatly arranged shower and bath amenities.

A spacious sitting area consisting of a couch and two tables offered an excellent view of the university’s bell tower, and from the fifth floor room, I could observe the graduates posing for photos below.

The desk had more than enough space for my laptop and books, and had a lamp and multiple power outlets. A chair, while not ergonomic, was comfortable enough for short periods of time.

The Aloft Raleigh provides three separate meeting spaces, the largest of which is 1,556 square feet (144 square meters). Complimentary Internet was available and speedy.

The hotel has an outdoor pool with a deck, and I found myself outside on more than one occasion, basking in the North Carolina summer sun.

The property also hosts a 24-hour fitness center, with all types of equipment and free weights, as well as ellipticals and treadmills that face windows offering views of the pool.
