DSC_0762The Trump Organization announced Monday that it will launch a new mid-tier hotel chain aimed at business travelers and tourists.

The chain, to be branded American Idea, will utilize an American-themed décor.

All American Idea hotels will be owner-operated and the Trump organization will not be involved in the hotels’ day-to-day operations.

The first three American Idea hotels are slated to open in three Mississippi cities namely Cleveland, Clarksdale, and Greenville, and will be owned and operated by Chawla Hotels, which currently owns 18 hostelries in the region, including three Comfort Inns, four Holiday Inn Express properties, four Hampton Inns, and three Econolodges. The American Idea hotels will be existing properties that are reflagged with the new brand.

Chawla will also own the first Scion hotel, a brand announced by the Trump Organization last September. That hotel will be located in Cleveland, Mississippi.
