TSA to Open Pop-Up PreCheck Application Center in New York’s Penn Station
The Transportation Security Administration said it will operate one of its pop-up TSA application centers at Penn Station in New York City next month.
The temporary facility will operate from May 1 through May 19 on weekdays, between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. It will be located at the United Airlines Ticket Office at the station.
Appointments may be made online and travelers can complete the application in advance of the appointment.
Passengers at a PreCheck security checkpoint do not have to remove shoes, belts, and light jackets during the screening, and can leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on luggage.
PreCheck is available at over 180 airports in the United States as well as at some foreign airports with preclearance centers.
Pop-up PreCheck application centers will also open in May at the North Central West Virginia Airport and Boise Airport in Idaho.
