New Hilton Resort Opens in China’s Sichuan Province

DSC_0527Hilton Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of the Hilton Jiuzhaigou Resort in China’s Sichuan province. The resort is located at the entrance to Zhongcha Valley, close to Jiuzhai National Park and Jiuzhai Songchen Romance Park, both popular tourist attractions.

The property has 426 guestrooms and suites, including ten villas. Rooms are up to 495 square feet (46 square meters), while the villas range in size from 3,444 to 4,520 square feet (320 to 460 square meters).

The hotel has a spa and 24-hour fitness center, as well as a kids club. Guests can also explore the resort’s replica of an ancient Tibetan street.

The property offer 16,382 square feet (1,522 square meters) of meeting and event space, including seven function rooms, and a 9,795-square-foot (910-square-meter) grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,300 guests.

Dining options include Open, which offers traditional and local menu items; Simmer, which feature Sichuan hot pot cuisine and a juice bar; Xang Xung, which serves Tibetan specialties such as barbequed yak meat; and Jiu, the hotel’s lobby lounge that offers afternoon tea.

In celebration of the opening, Hilton is offering members of its Honors guest loyalty program 1,000 bonus points per night for stays through May 27.
