Delta Improves Upgrades for Passengers Traveling with Medallion Members

IMG_4579 (1)Delta Air Lines announced significant improvements to its complimentary upgrade policy.

The changes, which went into effect April 6, 2017, will grant passengers traveling with SkyMiles Medallion Members complimentary upgrades on award tickets, Miles + Cash tickets, and Pay with Miles tickets. Previously, such upgrades were only available on paid tickets.

In addition, those traveling with Delta SkyMiles credit card holders using a SkyMiles Companion Certificate will also eligible for complimentary upgrades.

The upgrades are available on domestic flights to both first class, business class, or Delta’s premium economy lite section, Comfort+. The companion must be a SkyMiles member as well or the Medallion Member and the companion must be on the same reservation.

Upgrades may be requested during the booking process or at any time thereafter.
