American Express added multiple new and significant features and benefits to its Platinum Card effective Thursday.

Cardmembers will receive a $200 per year Uber credit, VIP status with Uber, and up to five complimentary additional Gold Cards on an account. They will receive a metal card to replace the current plastic version.

They will also receive an upgraded membership in the Priority Pass airport lounge program that will allow them to bring two guests with them into Priority Pass lounges.

Other new benefits include five points per dollar spent on hotel bookings made through American Express Travel. In addition, access to its Global Lounge Collection at airports will be expanded to include more than 1,000 lounges worldwide

The yearly fee for the platinum card will increase from $450 to $550 starting in September 2017 when cards come up for renewal.
