United Airlines to Deepen Partnership with Mesa

United Airlines and its regional partner Mesa Airlines said Friday the two plan to expand their relationship.
Mesa will acquire 12 new Embraer 175 aircraft starting in May 2017. The carrier will use the planes to operate United routes.
The airline said it plans to hire over 500 new people for a variety of positions including pilot, flight attendant, and gate agent to operate the new planes.
The order will bring Mesa’s number of Embraer 175 aircraft to 60.
