Air Canada to Connect Vancouver with Frankfurt, London Gatwick

Air Canada announced that it plans to launch new service to both Frankfurt and London from Vancouver next year. The airline will offer daily seasonal flights to Frankfurt beginning June 1, and thrice weekly seasonal service to London Gatwick Airport starting June 8, 2017.

Flights to Vancouver International Airport will depart at 12:25 p.m. and arrive at Frankfurt Airport at 7:05 a.m. the next day. From Frankfurt, flights will depart at 10 a.m. and arrive back in Vancouver at 10:55 a.m.

Flights from Vancouver to London Gatwick are scheduled to depart at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive at 10:25 a.m. the next morning. Flights will depart London Gatwick at noon, also on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive in Vancouver at 2:10 p.m.

Air Canada’s new Vancouver-Frankfurt service will be operated using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, equipped with 20 lie-flat seats in business class, 21 seats in premium economy, and 210 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 21” wide, and have a pitch of 80”.

The carrier’s new Vancouver-London Gatwick service will be operated by Air Canada rouge, a subsidiary of Air Canada, using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, equipped with Premium Rouge and coach cabins. The Premium Rouge cabin offers 24 recliner seats in a 2-2-2 configuration. Each seat is 18.5” wide with a seat pitch of 37”.
