Norwegian Air Shuttle Premium Class New York-Oslo – Flight Review
ARRIVAL
After almost seven and a half hours in my seat, we began our descent and landed on Norwegian soil after six hours and 25 minutes aloft. Soon after disembarking, I was at passport control, which took no time at all thanks to a separate EU line. It was a quick walk to the Flytoget Airport Express train, and 20 minutes later, I was walking to my hotel.
BOTTOM LINE
Having now experienced two flights in Premium (my second review will follow shortly), I can fully appreciate what is making U.S. airlines and their employees nervous. Norwegian’s Premium class is so close to business class in terms of the soft product that it’s virtually indistinguishable in many respects.
In the course of flying the airline from New York to Oslo, I had the opportunity to find out what really strikes fear in the competition’s hearts: the airline’s ability to both deliver an excellent product, especially in its premium-economy cabin, at a very low cost to the passenger as well as to deliver an experience that is both relaxed and enjoyable.
