New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Wednesday new shuttle bus service to LaGuardia Airport.

The LaGuardia Link shuttle bus was unveiled at the groundbreaking for the new LaGuardia Airport terminal and it is designed to ferry passengers to and from nearby subway stations.

The new service will be based on the existing Q70 bus route, which already operates non-stop between the Roosevelt Avenue subway stop for the E, F, M, and R lines in Jackson Heights. It also connects to the 61st Street 7 train stop in Woodside, which includes access to the Long Island Rail Road.

Once the LaGuardia Link shuttle goes into operation, it will carry a Select Bus Service designation, which means that passengers will prepay for their ride at the bus stop prior to boarding.
