WestJet to Connect Six Canadian Cities with London Gatwick

DSC_0514WestJet announced that it will begin new service to London Gatwick from six Canadian in the coming days. The carrier plans to launch service from Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto on Friday, followed by flights from Edmonton, Winnipeg, and St. John’s on Saturday.

Service between Vancouver and London will be offered six times a week, through October 21, while the carrier’s new service to London Gatwick from Calgary will be operated five times a week, year-round. Between October 3, 2016 and April 29, 2017, however, the airline will operate flights to Calgary three times a week.

WestJet’s Toronto-London service will be daily, and will also operate year-round.

Flights from Edmonton to London will be offered twice a week, and will operate through October 22. WestJet’s will operate its Winnipeg-London flights once a week through October 1, and its new St. John’s service daily, through October 21.

All of the new routes, with the exception of the carrier’s St. John’s service, will be operated using Boeing 767-300 aircraft. Flights to St. John’s will be operated using Boeing Next Generation 737.
