Virgin America Launches New Loyalty Program Benefits
Virgin America announced it is introducing new benefits to its Elevate loyalty program. The airline also said that it is adding a new status match offer.
The new benefits allow Virgin America Elevate Silver members to earn 50% more points above base rate of 5 points per $1 spent, up from 25%, while Elevate Gold members can now earn 140% more points above base rate of 5 points per $1 spent, up from 100%. Additionally, Virgin America passengers will now earn status based on the number of flights they take or the amount they spend purchasing flights, and reward flights will be counted towards achieving status.
Along with the new benefits, Virgin America is offering members of JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty program with Mosaic status the chance to automatically be upgraded to Elevate Gold status when they join the program and apply online. Members will have Gold status for three months, and will have the opportunity to retain the status through the end of 2017.
In addition, the airline also recently announced the Elevate Gold members will be granted complimentary access to the carrier’s high-speed ViaSat Wi-Fi through December 31 of this year.
