Mercedes-Benz continues the expansion and update of its product portfolio and brings the all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the updated roadster SLC and the new S65 AMG convertible to Detroit.

On Monday, Mercedes-Benz unveiled its fifth-generation E-Class, internally code-named W213. With a cockpit that (optionally) features two 12.3” wide-screen displays, the E-Class is about to become the frontrunner of its segment offering options and features of its higher-end sibling, the S-Class, as well as all- new technology that puts it ahead of the S-Class.

The two wide-screen displays are connected to each other via a common glass cover in order to create a modern flat screen look. The driver’s view displays the speedometer, tachometer, and other driving-related gauges. The other part of the screen provides navigation and entertainment information, and the driver can select between three different screen designs, Classic, Sport, and Progressive.

The Mercedes-Benz SLC roadster, formerly known as SLK, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2016. The model’s many updates include new interior and exterior design elements, state-of-the-art connectivity and safety options, and new powerplants. The front of the SLC features now a diamond radiator grille, new LED daytime running lights and chrome trim at the lower edge of the front spoiler. At the rear, the taillights are now horizontally divided and use LED technology as well.

Customers have a choice of five different engines. The only diesel-powered variant, the SLC 250d with 204 horsepower (152 kW), is joined by four petrol-powered versions, the SLC 180, SLC 200, SLC 300 and SLC 43 AMG. The SLC 43 AMG replaces the old V8-powered SLK 55 AMG but is now powered by a turbocharged 3-liter V6 engine.
